Buena Vista Police Officer rescues a dog and two persons from a burning home

Buena Vista Police (Virginia) Officer Jacob Moore is being credited for saving the life of a dog named Zoey and a couple from a house fire on Palm Sunday. The dog was carried by the officer after he entered the home risking his life entering a smoke filled room to safety. Lovie Atkinson who is one of the homeowners of the house that caught fire was in charge of a daycare center that she ran for years that was burned down by the fire. A Go Fund Me page is up to assist the Atkinsons find a new home after the fire on Palm Sunday burned down their former home in Virigina.

I agree with you Anthony since he risked his life going into a burning home to rescue the dog and the couple.

@Deepizzaguy I very much admire officers of the law and fire fighters because they could just work in an office all day but there is something so special about the people in emergency management and law enforcement that puts them above the rest of the pack.

They are heroes, but that goes with their job so it's good. It was not easy that's for sure, I'm glad they made it out safe.

God bless our LEOs! They run toward danger when everyone else runs away from it and they risk their lives to save others' lives. Whenever I see a LEO I thank him/her for keeping everything together for me and my family.
