If you are wrong about something, would you admit it?

I have been wrong many times in discussions before. I gladly admitted my mistake. That's how we learn. And I got nothing but respect in return. But some people would hold onto their views, no matter how ridiculously false they are.
A person criticised my website on Facebook. And his post reached large audience, all agreeing with his point. I tried to reason with him and proved him wrong using basic, irrefutable, physic laws.
I was hoping he would either provide a good argument or just apologise for spreading falsehood. But that's not what happened. He probably thought it would make him look silly in front of his audience.
Do you find it hard to admit that you are wrong?

No. I will admit it if I really made mistakes. That's not hard at all.

If I am wrong ~ I'll admit it but if I really strong oppose, I'll write why.

Yes even though it can be embarrassing. Sometimes I've been convinced that I was right about something and then suddenly comes the realisation that I've made a mistake

@Madshadi Yes I guess so although I hope my opinions haven't been too ridiculous

@sprite1950 no not yours. I was referring to the guy who criticised my website based on false premise and who failed to acknowledge his mistake.
If you mean in past, as long as you admit your mistake it's all fine

at least your side of the debate is also there for others to see and let them decide what to believe.

I admit it. It happens to everyone and it is not a big deal to say that I was wrong.

Hi. Two things: One, I will admit my mistake if I REALLY committed it. Two, I will not admit doing something if I know that someone is desperately trying to put the blame on me when in fact the mistake was actually caused by them. That is backed up by facts and documents.

@Madshadi Always come in prepared. It is hard to argue when you have facts to back it up. You did a good job in that, Shadi.

He thought that performing squats in the pool does not make your quadriceps work due to buoyancy effect which pushes your body toward the surface. But having the upper body out of water creates greater gravity force than buoyance force which in result gives us resistance upwards and not downwards. People often hear exercises in the water and assume there is no body weight even if the body is partly out of water. But this time it was coming from aqua fitness instructor who runs a popular aqua fitness Facebook page. He should’ve known better

I am the bigger person, if I am wrong I will say so. Just yesterday I was wrong and I told Tony I was sorry I was wrong
