Fun weekend

Last week my ex came over to visit. It's been almost a year since i last saw him. It's been 8 months since the kids last saw him. I took 3 days off of work. We went to watch an NBA game. We watched Pacific Rim Uprising at the dine in theater and ate. We went to the 7th street market and indulged in some treats. We went window shopping at the local mall. We had a busy weekend. We tried to cram in a lot of family time. My ex and I generally get along except when he gets wanderlust, and starts to feel like the grass is greener elsewhere. Anyway, he and I had some one on one time. We talked about our issues and now I'm going to visit him in 2 weeks. He paid for my trip to Vegas to go see him. I ended up requesting time off from work and this will be my first real vacation since I was a little girl. I'm a little nervous though. I miss him and love him very much, but we have had a rough go since 1999. A lot of on and off again and I don't know if I could go through it again. I feel like if I don't give us a try though I will always wonder if we could've made things work so I will have to push back my fear and give us a chance. Maybe reconnecting without the stress of everything we dealt with recently (death in the family, death of a friend, financial stresses, depression, our son having severe medical issues and being in ICU for a week, etc) will lead to better things for us. I will say one thing, even if I do take him back, I am not moving to Vegas. This is home. The kids agree. If he wants to be with us, he needs to join us here.
