how exactly do you deal with the loss of a loved one? especially if you were particularly close to them? is it selfish not to be able to let them go?

Welcome to Mylot. I don't think that it is selfish not to want to let a person go at all.

It's not selfish. It's called mourning. And it's normal to mourn. We are not prohibited to feel the way we feel when losing a love one. In time, we would be able to overcome the grief but we will always have them in our hearts forever.

Each one of us deals with it differently, there isn't a good answer for dealing with loss.

Welcome to mylot. I understand it's not easy to lose someone especially when you're close to them just let yourself grief feel the pain and after that, you can move on.
