A Change in ''Jehovah's Witnesses''' Strategy?

Years ago, a couple Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on my door, asked to come in & talk about Jesus etc.
Another couple came to my door just today and--rather than ask to come in & tell me why I should be a Jehovah's Witness--they simply said, "Hi. We're 'Jehovah's Witnesses' & we'd like to invite you to our church for Lord Jesus' memorial service.
"All the information's in this pamphlet," (a little fold of paper they handed me), "including a website with https://www.jw.org/en/publications/videos/#en/mediaitems/docid-502016853_1_VIDEO a '4-minute, 21-second'-video explaining what we believe; and we hope we can see you there Thanks!"
I have to say---I appreciate that strategy (just inviting me to join 'later,' and giving me an address to find out more) a lot more than their old 'now let us convince you'-strategy.
Do they still do the old way? or has that gone 'the way of the butter-churn'?

We try different approaches to share the good news of the Kingdom of God with people.

a shame that our mortal brains have to use some kind of 'payment' parable to make us believe we "own" our freedom-from-sin (which we say is 'a Gift from God,' but which is really 'mankind's self-service'). https://unveiling-christianity.net/2017/08/14/vicarious-atonement-divinely-sanctioned/

@1hopefulman Where's the "justice" in worshiping some guy who claimed conquest & then disappeared?

Like Jesus, we try to tell the good news about God’s Kingdom.. See how Jesus did when he was on earth.. Here is the Bible online..
Read the Bible online, listen, or download. Published by Jehovah’s Witnesses, the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures is accurate, easy to read.

@buenavida Isn't 'the witness you bear' FALSE if you weren't there to see it?

Do you do it by proclaiming that we are paid-for? or do you feel the need to focus on 'the cost of the payment'? (Are we in the Kingdom of God, or do we have to suffer to pay the same price they claim "Jesus already paid"?)

They still come to my door, I see their material in their hands, and listen to their opener that's supposed to get me interested. Then I tell them I'm not interested. They aren't going to change my mind about what I believe, and I doubt if I'll change theirs. Whe we still lived on 14 acres in Templeton with no close neighbors and an eighth of a mile from the road uphill, the JW's were the only ones we didn't know that would knock on our door. A do give them an "A" for effort.

They have been here a few times. They don't announce that they are Jehovah Witness's. They hand you a pamphlet , and say they want to come in to talk. I never have time, and they say they will be back.
