Had a Lovely Easter Day

Touch of Paso Restaurant - Where We Ate Lunch

Not only was the weather gorgeous, but I actually did make it to church. I took my 7 am pill, got dressed instead of going back to sleep, and packed my 10:30 pill and a small water bottle in my purse. I also took a banana and some almonds with me to eat at 9, since I had to wait that long after the 7 am pill. After we got to church and parked, I ate the snack. Then we took our seats for the 9:30 service. When we stood for the first hymn I got a bit dizzy, but the sensation only lasted a minute or two. I was tired because I never sleep well when I know I have to get up early. After church we found out my friend and her husband were planning to go to the coast. We invited them to go out to lunch with us, since we'd been planning to do so for a long time. They had been planning to eat out anyway, so it worked out. We had a good time at lunch and then we went home. I almost fell asleep in my chair trying to read, so I decided to actually go take a nap in my bed. I didn't sleep much, but I had the time in La La land I miss when I have to get up quickly in the morning. I seem to need that time for my mind to just roam around wherever with no focus before I get up. When I got up I sat in the chair and got some palpitations. I'm sure glad they waiting until after we got home. Took half a pill and I was better in an hour. Then we watched a TV program and I got on the computer to catch up on some things. How did your Easter Sunday go? Or did you celebrate April Fool's Day instead?

It does sound like you had a good Easter. We had some fun. We had an Easter egg hunt with our kids, and we went to a birthday party. So, all in all a good day.

I used to really enjoy the Easter egg hunts with the kids when they were around. My son loved tried to find hidden things, so we even started hiding Christmas presents because he so enjoyed the search.

That is great! I am happy to see, Barbara. We spent the time with my family and headed to the Church and supermarket. It was simple but I am happy to be with the family.

I went to my parents house for Easter dinner! When I know I have to do something out of the routine I have a hard time sleeping at night so like how you had to get up early for church I would have had trouble sleeping as well.

I don't think we've celebrated April Fool's Day since our nest emptied. Glad your Easter was a good one.

That sounds like fun. I used to enjoy that, but now it just makes me tired to think about preparing large meal.

It was a really nice change of pace, since I rarely get to church these days and we hardly ever go out, especially with other people.

Sounds like you had a lovely day. My husband and I went to church in the morning and returned home for lunch. He went back to work and I kept busy with packing for our move.

It's the first time we've done anything with this particular couple. She and I are friends, and she has helped quite a bit with giving us rides to the doctor when we couldn't drive safely this last few months. We had never met her husband before, but she was hoping our husbands could meet. So it worked out for all of us.

Well, my Easter Sunday was great. I got to spend it with my parents. I am glad nobody fooled around during April Fool's since they fell in the same date.

Glad you enjoyed Easter. April Fool's Day has never been my favorite day, since I'm not fond of practical jokes on any day.
