Could he not handle the answers?

Last night, one of the writers on here posted a topic, that I thought was not true and some people may be offended by. I answered it and then thought, I would suggest it to some, so they could answer. Right before I logged off last night, a few people I had suggested and one other, had answered. This morning, when I logged on here, I see that the topic is gone. So, my question is, was the writer overwhelmed by our responses and decided to delete the topic? Or did the admin delete it? I was hoping the topic would trend into the Hot Topic Section here. That is why I suggested it to others. If it had stayed and hit the Hot Topic Section, the writer would have accumulated more cents in his bank. It is kind of sad that the topic is now gone.

Some people delete old posts in general. I notice some people post a lot but when you look at their discussions you will see they have 0 to 5 posts that they ever wrote. That seems a little soon for someone to delete, but you never know. Just a theory because I do not think you can really know unless you ask the person directly.

I would need a bit more info, but if you could private message me the author's name and a brief description of the topic, I might be able to get some more information.

You should ask the author to have the answer. If the topic was offending there are chances that it has been deleted by an admin.

I suggested it to you. It was that guy who said something about sitting around and only doing online jobs , that is was the way to make money, how a person really didn't need to go out there and get a real job.

Ask @GoAskAlice - they should be able to clarify the why, if not the when, if the author themselves did not delete it.

@MALUSE Good point. In the FAQ, under Help, I found this nugget, which indicates the Admin should be contacted for such queries... Of course, my interpretation may be wrong - deletions are a risk you take when you choose to post on myLot, as far as I am concerned.

@MALUSE This is true. Better to contact Admin than to post publicly about it and have some eagle-eyed Moderator delete the "why was this deleted" post...

I don't know which one you mean. However, it is not necessary to delete something because someone else does not like it. Just look and move on. I just tried to delete an old discussion and it did not work. It kept saying to refresh which was no help.

You have to wonder sometimes about what's happened to a post.

He acted like we all could make so much money online that we could quit our jobs. But, some of us who responded, said how that is not possible in most cases.

@LeaPea2417 Ah. The idea of it does seem a bit far fetched.

If you thought that it was offending, then chances are that one of the staff members may have thought the same and decided to delete it. We may never know I guess unless the writer himself responds. What was the topic if it is alright to ask?

The topic centered on him being able to sit around and only do online work as his main source of income. In other words, he didn't have to go out and get a real job, and how more people should be able to do it.
