Any otaku (anime fan) here?

So who is an anime fan here? For those who don't know about anime. It is Japanese animation.
My first anime was Dragon Ball Z back when I was a ten-year-old kid. Up till now, I have watched a lot. really a lot of animes. However not these days, but again after getting into medical school, I don't actually have the liberty to enjoy these idle interests. But as I am now on break after exams which will be going to end soon, so I am watching "Psycho-Pass" these days.
One thing more I like anime with its original Japanese dubbing with English subtitles. I absolutely despise watching them in English dubbing. I find no originality in it. I have once contemplated learning Japanese even but yea it's not that much easy. Haha!
So are you an otaku? Which anime did you first ever watch? And what are you watching these days?

Have you watched Dragonball Super? I loved it better than GT and it is created to replace GT.
The first Anime I had ever watched is the syndication of the 80's version of Astroboy, I was like 3 years old then. I also watched 2 1970's anime like Voltest V and Daimos.
I grew up with 90's Anime like Ruroni Kenshin, Zenki, Magic Knight Ray Earth,Yuyu Hakusho and Flame of Recca.
As an Adult I enjoyed 2000's Anime Like Law of Ueki, Full Metal Alchemist, Gantz,Naruto and Elfen Lied.
I just Finished Little Witch Academia, Kill la Kill, Akame Ga kill and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
Now I am following Black Clover, Boruto, One Punch Man,My Hero Academia and Jojo's Bizaare adventure

Wow! You have watched so many animes. How old are you btw? Because with the way you say 90s Anime I think you must be old enough and I am actually awed by the fact that you still appreciate this art and don't call it "Some Japanese Cartoon" xD Lots of respect for you. Tho I hope I am not just assuming things.

@iamnotyourdoctor I am 32. During the 1990's 70's and 80's anime are syndicated on TV that is why I get to watch them. i want to punch a person when someone calls anime "Chinese cartoons"

@CaptAlbertWhisker You are not much old. I am happy you still love Anime. Anime got me into Taiwanese content which eventually brought me to Kpop and Kdrama. I'm more hooked on Korean content now tho.

I have watched so many that I'm afraid to count them. Currently, I just finished up watching Overlord season 2, and I'm watching Darling in the FranXX (mecha anime, halfway through its season). There was a time where I stopped watching anime and just stuck to manga. I can't even tell you how many manga, manhwa, manhua I'm following at the moment. Isekai (reincarnation in another world) seems to be the popular genre lately, there are a ton of new series out with it.
And I agree, I only watch with the original audio and English subtitles (except for Dragon Ball Z, as I can't stand Goku's voice).

@iamnotyourdoctor It's too screechy for my tastes. I have no problem visualizing, so I can't remember if it was animated or not. When I read the manga, I might as well be watching it, because I can imagine all the moving around in between.

Hahaha! Masako did a good job with Goku's voice, I think ?? I'm more into manga too. Mostly because of the fillers and I like reading in general too.

I am an anime fan when i was younger. I remember watching Dragon Ball after school. Bleach, One Piece, Naruto the best!!!

I have watched all of these and still watch new eps from time to time. Tho I prefer to read the manga of One Piece. And yes, Naruto really is the best.

@MrsPumpkins Most of the people are, tho I am not. My fav characters are Naruto and Itachi.
