What are you listening to now?

The only thing I'm listening to is my husband quietly snoring. lol I usually don't have music on, but if I did I would be listening to soft rock.

Right now, The Cockroaches live cover of "You Can't Sit Down" is playing. I tend to like the new wave/alternative 80s. Favorite bands would include: The Smiths/Morrissey, The Cockroaches, Echo & The Bunnymen, Psychedelic Furs, Ian McCulloch, Bauhaus, Love Spit Love, Peter Murphy, Electrafixion, Love & Rockets, and more. I love too many songs to pick out favorites.

I'm listening to a nightly program that plays nothing but Portuguese Fado. Something equivalent to country music in that the lyrics tell a story. Fado music is similar to flamenco music in that it has the melancoly sound of Moorish music influenced by the Morrish conquest of Spain and Portugal. It's beautiful and sad. PS I live in Portugal altho I'm from the States
