This is what i told to myself after what i saw in the church.
We attended a mass and during the mass i observed one family sitting in front of us. They were so loving with each other. The father puts his arm on his wife's shoulder. His daughter played with his smartphone. Sigh i just can't help myself noticing every action that they make. I thought to myself maybe it would be better if i have not attended the mass at all because i couldn't concentrate. As the mass was about to end, i saw the father acting like he was about to hit his daughter! I couldn't believe what i saw. I looked at the father and then he immediately pulled back his fist.
Gosh it is not right to hit a child especially, in public places!
We are at the house of God, oh my...
He is a man with big fists.I couldn't imagine what the child will look like if it landed on her cheek.
Such hypocrites!
I think I have also sinned. I should've minded my own business.
How about you? Have you seen something like this on your community?
What are your thoughts about this?

I think it is only natural that we gaze our thoughts on people like them. But to (nearly) hit a child in public is something else. What did the mother do?

@MrsPumpkins aw. That must be traumatizing for the daughter. I think some people just could not hold their temper.

@mlgen1037 sometimes when my kids annoy me at the church, i usually warn them like "wait til we get home". And then they will stop fighting. And when we get home, i already have forgotten everything..

I would be very concerned about this man, he sounds like a bully and he is probably hitting his wife as well.

You are right @BelleStarr. If the man is hitting a child with people around imagine what he is doing in private. I hate to think about that.

@MrsPumpkins True enough.. Tho the kid has a phone..that would be a luxury to me at that age..we would be disciplined for being so rude in church.

I certainly would have been shocked in the way the father acted. I hope hitting that child isn't something he does. often

I have seen some parents looking like they were very angry at their child but I never saw anything like that.

Hitting a child isn't good not only in public places but also at home or every where..
