What makes a great blog tick!

I write about life, I am a personal blogger. There is so many different type of blogs out there. Pick what you know about and can teach others about. Then go for it.

Oh really, where is your blog? Oh you mean writing on myLot? I have never had a blog.

I think the most important thing is to pick something you are passionate about and write about it. It has to be something you really like otherwise, you won't want to write about it.

I don't really know what makes a great blog .. I don't know if I can call myself a blogger either although I have been interacting with others on sites like this for many years now ..

It would be interesting to me to read more about when you grew up.

Writing what you're interested in is the best way to write.

I guess write about topics you are familiar with and passionate about

I have a blog but I forgot the password for years. I've haven't done anything with it for years. MyLot takes the place of it I guess.

About the only type of Blogging you would even say I get close to is posting on here. Being a regular Blogger is not something that has ever interested me.

I love to read about people's personal experiences. You write a lot about things that you feel and are doing or places that you have just gone to, and I enjoy reading about that. I think what I dislike is when people read something online and basically rewrite what they have read-it just lacks so much personalization, which is what I look for. Don't change what you do here, I enjoy your writing and your photos.

never got into doing any kind of a blog, except goofing off here on my lot

@amadeo I am a blogger but would not say an experienced one. I blog when I have something want to share. I would say a blog that reaches everyone's interest would be good. I am not sure if people like mine or not. I just do it because when I have something to say I like to put it on my blog.

I think a good blog just comes down to good content. Pretty simple. As for sites like MyLot, I think they are a great place to simply write about anything at all, including how your day is going, sometimes find fodder for a more lengthy blog style response, and most importantly just to keep the pen moving which helps to hone your craft. A writer writes, and writes often. The more we do it, no matter what we happen to be writing about, the better we get at it, and the more our writing resonates with and interests people who read them.
