Not so for us I guess, unless we are doing mine and his. I'm hoping not! Lets see, me major emergency surgery, then abscessed tooth, then he hit a deer. Thought that would be it. Nope, we had gotten tickets to this dinosaur thing and it was yesterday. I knew I wasn't up to it no matter how bad I wanted to go. Hubby took Tessa alone. Within a few hours he was home.
SICK! He literally got home, slept almost all night, went to bed and has been in bed all day sleeping. His fever finally broke and I'm hoping it stays gone. He has never stayed in bed all day. I'm hating the stairs right now that is for sure! I'm also hoping, yes this sounds mean, but I'm hoping he keeps it to himself!
We aren't understanding why he keeps getting sick and I'm not. I know my immune system should be down but it doesn't seem to be, thankfully as I wouldn't be able to take care of him then. So far Tess and I are doing good. Trying to get him to go even for a checkup when he is better, told him he needs one. Yeah his reply to me was, that I should talk. Made up some onion syrup and gave him some herbals for immune system earlier and for his fever.
I have cleaned some, now cleaning up my herbal cabinet as It needed it. So what have you been up to and how are you doing?

No he hasn't been .. coughing up tons of phlegm thou. When I took him some lemon and honey tea, he said he was feeling a little better just really tired. I didn't know that was a symptom, I skipped that one when I had them. Might give him stone breaker just in case thou. Now Tessa has started coughing. Going to be a tiring week.

@Courtlynn That is me, she has a slight cough and had a small fever last night, she had some onion syrup when she woke up at night. Fever is gone and just the slight cough again. Wish she liked lemon and honey but she doesn't.

Hope he gets better. It's hard to have a sick family member all the time.

Both respiratory and stomach bugs keep going round and round. Hubby does not get sick, though he is the one who had cancer a year ago, a stroke, heart cath, and pacemaker. I try to take care of me, but I keep getting colds and sinus issues. I sure hope your family gets a good break soon.

Not much except settling the bills and it's not even done yet since the other got rejected at the payment center. Hope your hubby gets medication and rest.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear your hubby is sick and that you've been dealing with so much stress (in addition to your emergency surgery) lately. Hopefully he doesn't spread whatever it is to you or your daughter.

@Srbageldog She seems to be getting better and hubby is good enough to go to work, not like he has a choice thou really, but he did say he is feeling better. I didn't get sick, surprisingly enough!
Onion Syrup is something handed down thru our family, just cut the onions in circles, add water a little sugar or honey and simmer it down til it is like a syrup. It is used as a cough syrup and they can take as much as they want without side effects. My whole family loves it.

@Ithink Sorry to hear Tessa is sick now too! What is onion syrup, if you don't mind me asking? I've never heard of it before. :)
I sure hope you don't get sick! Fingers crossed that you don't catch it.

maybe because of the surgery you had a lot of antibiotics given at the time and they are still in your system. as far as bad things coming, they just keep piling up sometimes more then 3

I think you should get him a complete body checkup if he is regularly falling sick.
