Why Balance is Good

"Us vs Them" is the common theme where it pits one side against the other for the dominance and victory, supposing nothing but a glorious future awaits in that end. But is it like that? Let's see what happens when somehow only light wins in nature. Somehow, the Earth gains another star in a synchronized orbit, so whenever it should be night, it's still light enough to call it day. This other sun doesn't throw much heat, but prevents the cool down that darkness would grant. As the one sun starts to set, the other sun rises, and keeps the heat of the day largely in place. Some cooling occurs, but not much. It's perpetual daytime. Well, not even going into how screwed up the different animals would be, each day would be progressively warmer, even with cloud cover. Gradually everything would get hotter and hotter, until the planet would be cooked and everyone dies. The same thing would happen if the sun was gone, just that everything would be frozen. Singularity is Evil. Alright, that's nature. Let's talk human behavior: Take away all the 'evil' humans and leave just the best behind. Of that group, there will exist a new division. Things that were previously minor would become major differences, and soon, those people that do things differently would be the new evil, and would need to be eradicated. After that, with a dramatically different population, there are minor differences still, and that annoys people who didn't even notice before. And the process continues until there is one person left. The same if you get rid of the good people, eventually there would be just one left. A balance between forces in nature and humanity alike is needed. Unless of course, you want to fry, freeze, or be the literal 'last man standing'. I don't like the odds though.

It would be so good to have a so-called well-balanced world.

Well, you would need balanced people, and those are hard to come by. It took me 34 years to get there!

@sabtraversa Well, you could still have balanced people doing bad things, and those doing good things. It's all up to them. However, they would have a better idea at how not to mess up the system while doing it.
