Do you tell your parents an accident you have met when they're not around?

Today, in my lunch time, my fingers are smacked by the heavy wooden doors of my office. I am hurt badly. My team brought ice and water. I kept my fingers in them for few minutes. But, still I am having pain. When my parents called, I didn't tell them about this accident. Because I don't want to make them worried. Will you tell them if you were in my place?

If I can handle it, I'll keep it to myself but if I need it so bad I'll call my parents and tell it to them.

That is the most sensible way to tackle your own life! I never tell any one in the family if I happened to go through any accident, which is very common in my career as I am dealing with horses on day today basis! I appreciate your views @deba12 ! Thanks!

If it is minor then I don't mind to tell it. I think your pain will lasts for 2-3 days as it smacked. My finger pressed it same way and it was so painful.

Usually kids won`t tell their parents because of the fear that they might get scolded. So it is natural to not tell, so if I were in your situation, I wouldnt.
