Who do you think is the all-time best Atlanta Braves player?

Chipper Jones - Chipper Jones

Aside from Hank Aaron, I would say Chipper and Andrew Jones.

Andres Galaraga (i just killed his last name) or the 2 Jones players, all 3 are up there. although i have to ask, current players or not? John Smoltz is also a good choice.

Galarraga was one of the best 1st baseman for the braves when he was with them.

hey! finally another braves fan! i lived all my life in atlanta until about 12 years ago, and i still follow the braves...i think aside from hank aaron(and i was at the ballpark when he hit his record-breaker)i would have to say it would be Dale Murphy. He was such a great guy, and a great all around player. He could have played any position he wanted to, and was very nice to the fans. My son still has the hat he autographed for him! Nice to meet another fan!

Dale Murphy was pretty great for awhile. But if Hank Aaron is out of the equation, I'd have to go with John Smoltz. He's been way too good for way too long. It would've been Maddux, but he's since deparated.

I would agree with you. the pitching trio of Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux and John Smoltz was the best.

thanks for reminding me of Terry Pendleton. He's the Braves Hitting Coach now. He might succeed Bobby Cox if Cox retires.

the best atlanta braves player would be hank aaron. aside from him. i think the best would be greg maddux. during his first three years with the braves he won the straight cy cyoung awards and he anchored the best starting rotation in the late 90s. also during the 2004-2005 season he was the first pitcher since 1918 to have ERAs beloow 1.80. his only blemish is a not so good postseason record. a close second would be john smoltz, a very good postseason pitcher and an even bigger person. for position players, i would have to agree with you. the joneses are the best position players they have right now.

Hank Arron of course. Andrew is good, as is Chipper. Smoltz is a wonderful pitcher. They've had so many good ones over the years.

Hank Aaron, by far. After that, Eddie Matthews, Chipper Jones, Dale Murphy and Andruw Jones.

Yes, the Jones boys are very good but what about more players of the past like Dale Murphy, Glen Hubbard or Sid? What about when they had the Tom Glavine, Gregg Maddox, John Smoltz and Steve Aivery on the pitching staff?
