Applying Jobs Online or In Person

So I have applied in person and online and it works pretty well for me. I'm applying online so hopefully I get called. Which method do you prefer to apply for a job?

I apply online but nothing beats walking in because you get a glimpse of the company and its people. Plus the effort of going to the company usually pays off.

We now live in a world where most initial job applying is online. While easier to stay home to apply, there is the negative affect of those algorythms sorting you to the trash bin.
