CrookedGLASSES

Good evening from the Philippines.
I am having a hard time reading the comments and discussions on desktop or even on my phone. It is because my pair of eyeglasses seems to be crooked. The left lens is lower than the right, and I can feel the upper part of my left cheek touching the frame while my right lens does not touch my right cheek.
I think it is because I place my spectacles in the pocket of my blazer, without the case. The case is missing somewhere, so I just lay my eyeglasses on the table when I rest my eyes.
I plan to have my sight be re-evaluated again; maybe the acuity increased or decreased. But I am lucky I don’t have opacity of the lens but just being far-sighted.
If you wear eyeglasses, does it get deformed or crooked?

well, if you have a normal eyesight and visual acuity, maybe you should not wear one; but if you have problems, i think it is good to consult an ophthalmologist.

that is great. are your contact lenses colored or does it fit your eye and skin color?

The only time I wore glasses was back when I was applying for a job abroad. I was found far sighted during my check up and forced to wear glasses. I stopped using them for a long time now.

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your glasses. I do wear them. The only trouble I have is making certain I have the right pair on as I have three pairs of glasses, one for the computer, one for regular - bifocals, and one for reading.

@ridingbet They are distinctive. No mixing them up.

really, you have 3 pairs of eyeglasses? are they numbered or do they have distinctive frames so you won't use a pair not intended for another. i wear bifocals.

@rheicel i have to wear eyeglasses so i can read even the most minute words in a small vial or ampoule. i can see far anyway, and it is the near sight that i have problems about.

@ridingbet Wow, 175/150 that's high. My grandfather had an eye surgery before and the doctor said that if you can bear not to wear eyeglasses, it is much better because once you started wearing eyeglasses your acuity will go up every year.

@Courage7 they are, that is why i go to an ophthalmologist and not to an optometrist or an optician.

I always wear eyeglasses. As I don't put them into my pocket or somewhere else, thankfully it didn't get deformed or crooked.

I have not had that problem yet. I did just get a new pair of glasses about two weeks ago, and the only problem I had was this time I got a smaller frame, and thus a smaller lens. My bifocal started sooner than on my old pair, and so I had to learn where to look to get the distance and reading parts right without things going blurry depending on how I was looking.

i had bifocals since i began wearing eyeglasses during my college years. now, i think i can no longer read very minute letters from an ampoule or a vial if i am not wearing my specs.

I'd suggest you visit an optometrist as soon as possible. Perhaps, your eyes have further contracted/dilated depending on your condition and it requires you to get a different corrective lens.
I had near-sightedness of -1 and used to wear eyeglasses of really low-quality material and yes, it did get deformed. If you think it has to do with the material, simply get it replaced.
Or else, if you require a complete checkup, it's recommended to consult a renowned ophthalmologist.
