I think Java is better as it has almost all the qualities of C++ and in addition it is platform independent which C++is not.

I don't know but I am satisfied with Java. I know java, applet, JSP, Javabeans, and J2EE. I can develop professional website out of java technology. C++ maybe good but why bother knowing both when you are an expert in one...
