One's personal data is not useful, it is the aggregate of millions of personal data (whether anonymized or not) that is useful for big data targeting.

We need to be more outspoken before it's too late. Censorship might start putting demands on us all and if we don't speak our minds while we have half a chance, the future of social media will be seriously compromised. Enjoy the freedoms we have today and don't look back.

Its a little bit more than just privacy issues. They collected data and gave it to people who used it illegally while at the same time made a profit selling adds that were created by that data! Its a scary thought but this is just a beginning of complete lack of privacy in the home! Already people welcome smart devices that listen in on the home activity. Now patents are pending concerning recording and sending it to data harvesters so what happened with Facebook can be a global market of companies using personal conversation to develop the perfect sales pitch. I am never getting smart anything device. I can shop at my leisure in a store and the only one allowed to eavesdrop in my home is god!
