Growing up memories

I am happy to share my life with the people in mylot because you always have someone to talk to or share ideas with. I just remembered something I always thought when I was a kid.
When I was so much younger like 3-8 I always believed storks deliver babies to their parents lol. I always thought parents had to pray and write letter to God so that they could send them a baby through a stork. Funny right, you won't blame me after watching cartoons like dumbo and some other storks delivering babies you would understand lol.
I also so much believed in Santa and was always proud that my family were the few family in Nigeria santa comes to visit not until one day, when I caught my dad hiding presents under our Christmas tree, I was heartbroken. I guess I was 10 by then.
I still remember trying to burn the house, just because I wanted to make some brownies, lol. It ain't my fault, I was learning any our oven was written in German. I don't understand that language I was just 11.
Tell me what do you remember doing or thinking when you were growing up???

Wow...that is great to know about your idea you had about the storks! yes most of the kids get disillusioned about the Santa at some point of their life but I really found it interesting and hilarious when you were about to put the house on fire to get some brownies!
I had my own notions but the most important one I would like to mention here is I used to have a strong belief that I can fly like a bird one day and I used to dream about it a lot! Thanks @Tutufaith !

I love memories especially Christmas my parents used to hide gifts until Xmas came and helping my mother with cooking those were the best memories

I do assist my mom in the kitchen too during Christmas. I normally runaway from the kitchen but Christmas is different.

What i remember most is when the family after dinner will gather in the living room and start singing, with just guitar we can sing with with harmony. It was one memory that i treasure in my heart and hope that someday we can do that again together..

I do not remember everything from my childhood because there was so much going on, but i do remember the cool memories that I did have.
