Hello everyone.
We went to the grocery to pick up some things we need for the surprise party for tomorrow. I have with me both my daughter and my son. We are tagging along while I push the cart. My son is playful and he is playing while walking with us. I got a little busy getting what we need and the cart was attended by my daughter. When we look for my son, he was not there on the spot where he is looking for some stuffs.
Me and my daughter look everywhere. My heart is beating so fast as this is the first time this happens to me. We look everywhere and alerted the staff of the grocery and they also look for my son. Every aisle and every section. They even looked at the CCTV. The last that they saw was my son left the grocery with some kids. My heart was beating wild, I am in tears. We went to to the way that they go but found no one. We go back to the grocery, I sat at some chair with body shaking, tears never ending. My eyes were blurred.
I cannot go home without my son. Time is like never ending. I keep crying and crying with my daughter. No words can pacify my uncontrollable mind and heart. For how many minutes I don't know. I keep telling myself I need to find him but do not know where to look for.
I am blinded my tears and I try to keep calm, I wipe my tears away and open my eyes.....
My son is beside me sleeping soundly.
Thank God it is only a dream.

Remember the song, "...and it was only just a dream..." You got me there, Rakski. I am sure you would not let your son disapppear just like that.

That is what I was wondering about...how can you post a discussion while you have lost your son? All is well that ends well that you have your son sleeping soundly besides you! But then you must thank the dream that it has given you a message to be careful with your kids while on shopping! Thanks @rakski !

there is a notion that dreams are the opposite of reality. but just the same, take good care of your son.

@rakski this morning, my son, upon waking up, held my head and did the massaging, of which i asked him why. (i taught him about this if we dream something bad).
he said, he and i had a quarrel, and he did not want that to happen in real life.

Reminds me of the time my younger daughter and I went to Robinsons Supermarket and there was this little girl crying who was brought by the supermarket boy collecting the carts outside and who saw the girl there. He was worried that the girl might stray into the street so he brought the girl inside. The girl was crying out loud and I approached her and asked her name and who her mother was. She continued crying so I held her hand and told here we'd look for her mother. She held my hand tightly and I made an attempt to bring her to the nearby Customer Assistance Counter and request the staff to page for her mother. I wanted to turn over the girl to the staff but the girl held tightly to my hand and would not let go. My daughter was laughing and told me all eyes of the shoppers were on me and the girl. Since the girl would not let go of my hand, I started to bring her out of the supermarket to look for her mother whom we met at the entrance. The mother and the father were busy looking at some clothing inside a store and did not notice that their girl had strayed outside.

aw. If I really need something to looks for myself, I ask my husband to stay home with the kids. If we are all together, we made sure one is with them while the other is looking after the kids. I am training my kids now to hold on to each other when we are out.

@rakski I've seen several times mothers malling with their kids on a lease-like cord attached to the wrist of the child and the mother.

Oh my goodness that caught me right there for a moment too and how lucky it was only a dream.
I have had dreams like that too but push them away.
Jabo was so lucky to find her child too.

@rakski
Dreams can seem so real even halfway through the day if you have had a nightmare and the memory can stay with you making you feel uneasy.
Good job it was only a dream after all.

I was getting scared for you. I am so glad it was only a dream and not real. I can't imagine if that ever happened to one of my children. I don't know what I would do. Sadly, it does happen more than we care to admit and many parents never see their child again. I am glad he is safe with you!!

@morgoodie You bet, that is the reason for me writing it. To share my fear so it will lessen what I feel.

@rakski But even though it was just a dream, they can be just as scary as real life sometimes. I don't like those kinds of dreams. They have a tendency to linger throughout the day.
