During a short visit to the Cape recently my hubby and I did some Lighthouse exploring like we always do. On the small island a few kilometers from the Unesco World Heritage Site TABLE MOUNTAIN, we got to view one of the first lighthouses to the region. The Island is flat and over the hundreds of years it has been used by the Spanish, the Dutch and the English as a Prison camp, Leprosy Village and most recently a Tourist attraction.
The Lighthouse photo is one of my favourites at the moment and I having it painted in water pastels soon.
Have you ever taken a photo that depicts the scene just perfectly? Well thanks to my hubby and the camera long lenses, we were able to get this photo because walking on the island is prohibited and areas for viewing very restricted.
You are most welcome to share your opinion.

I visited Cape Town in 2010. This looks a very pretty lighthouse to me. I am keen on lighthouses in general. I used to live in Kent and there was a nice looking lighthouse there which I took some photos of. I am so happy to walk along a seashore looking at a lighthouse. I think you did well to take this photo with a long shoot lens.

There seems to be a hand both of the camera and the 'camera man' for this perfect photo considering that it had to be captured from a distance.
I am proud of many of my captures and here is one

That is a fine shot considering you had to shoot long lens. Seems quite close.
