It wouldn't be proper to comment on the other religious customs! But then in my view polygamy is not a good practice and it has many cons than pros! Thanks @Anuoluokun!

I believe its about feelings here and being an adult. It also has less to do with religion.

Instead of cheating, why not be allowed to add the person legally.
Apart from that what makes polygamy wrong.

Well, of course, I believe in it because I know it exists. :P I am not really familiar enough with any of the religions that allow it to comment on that. I do, however, know people in a polygamous relationship. If all parties are agreeable then, really, it is only our societal view that makes it wrong. Personally, I prefer a monogamous relationship but other people's relationships, as long as nobody is getting hurt, are not really anyone else's business.

@Anuoluokun In this world and when we talk of polygamy, it usually applies to men BUT there are some women who do this too. But I think on both sides, it is better to stay monogamous. This is also for health reasons

But, truthfully, if one as a woman, was already married, and found another man she liked, I am almost sure, if given the opportunity to add, would add the man as another husband. So why cant a man.

I have no interest in polygamy. I don't want more than one man and I am not going to share my husband.
I doubt any marriage, where it is up to the man to decide how many wives he wants and the women have no say about it, are truly happy marriages.
Relationships where adults decide together how many partners they have, I still doubt everyone is happy

@Anuoluokun if the man respected and cared for his wife he would never consider another woman

But no matter, as I believe, how many captains there are in a ship, there has to be one captain for the ship.
No mighter how many crew there are in a plane, there is just one captain for a plane.
Likewise, for every home there is a head.
The man is the head of his home.
He can not lord over any woman but his wife or wives.
No matter how many women there are in a home, if there is respect and understanding, there would be no problem.

@paigea, love and respect does not have anythining do with polygamy, in my opinion because you love members of your family and they are plenty.

You can use this avenue to air your opinion with strong reason why it should be legalized all over the world, most especially in your country!

quite a few religions "support" it. For me personally? I'm fine being in a relationship with just my husband.
whatever other people do its between them and god!
I just hope everyone is a legal adult! I've seen some horrible new stories about kids forced into polygamy. :(
