Another corrupt world leader bites the dust.
Former speaker of Indonesian parliament, Setya Novanto, was today served a 15-year jail sentence for his role in a national electronic-identity-card scheme that caused losses of $170 million to the state.
In addition to his prison sentence, Novanto was fined $500 million rupiah, ordered to repay $7.3 million rupiah, and on release from prison he will be barred from holding any position in public office for 5 years.
This marks another win for the people of Indonesia, and #WeThePeople of the world.
An Indonesian court on Tuesday sentenced the former speaker of parliament, Setya Novanto, to 15 years in jail for his role in causing state losses of around $170 million, linked to a national electronic identity card scheme.

Please don't hope for such things, April. They had their chance, and proved themselves incapable of goodness and undeserving of our trust. Now, we hope they continue to arrogantly make things worse for themselves, to keep the crimes continually accumulating for the trials. #TheGreatAwakening #ItsHappening

@april_ang That they learn from their lessons. They had their chance, they won't learn for the proper reasons, so they must be gotten rid of. By continuing to screw up, they are making that possible.
