Can't help but feel sorry for myself

My son's having a really difficult time with teething and eczema, he's getting his back four teeth and when he's teething it makes his eczema even worse than usual, so the combination results in sleepless nights reminiscent of the early days when he was a baby who needed to be fed every three hours day and night In fact I think this is even worse, because I've spent a year getting used to having proper sleep now, so when this happens it really affects me. It's a given that I feel awful for Leonard, teething is bad enough without having to add incessant itching and split, bleeding skin to the mix! But some of my pity goes to myself as well. I feel sorry for myself when I don't get enough sleep, it seems to block me from thinking about other things because all I can do is think about how tired and irritable I am. Thank god I've got Leonard to keep putting a smile on my face

Poor baby, I feel for Leonard. Hope you both feel better again. Perhaps this link might help.
It may sound odd, but many parents experience a spike in their children's eczema when teething begins

Thank you Last night was really difficult, he slept fine from 7pm til 11pm but then he woke up and he was so itchy he just couldn't get back to sleep. I had to get him in my bed (an extremely rare occurrence) to try to help him stop itching and eventually he went to sleep draped over me. We then woke up at 5am and we've been up since then

One of my kids used to have eczema every time he got a growth spurt. I was lucky that his eczema did nothing to his sleep. He was an easy boy. That was many years ago .

Your child is very handsome, your post reminds me of my kids when they were young and had very high fever, me and my wife would take turns keeping watch on them 24/7 to take temperatures, give them ice sponge baths to lower the fever and adminiter the every 4 hours, every 6 hours medicine, I could very well understand what you are undergoing I go around my business in the morning feeling like a zombieand you are right, they do put a smile on our faces.

As parents, we all go through this. I feel bad for Leonard to suffer so much and bad for you for the lack of sleep. Hope that it gets better SOON.

If you need to sleep then you have to sleep when your baby sleep. I know it is very difficult to take care of a baby especially he/she has some health issues. Teething accompany many problems. I am glad my children are crossed that age. A kind of relief same time can't believe I faced those trouble time
