is it really needed. we pay a lot of money one something we will probably never use. so whats your opinion. is it worth it or not?

Yes, insurance is insurance, IN CASE something happens. Yeah, most of the times nothing does happen (knock on wood), but in case, you would like to be covered, no?

I always think the same thing, we spend so much money on it and we've never used it, I don't think it's necessary at all.

the worst is when you do use it they drop you, or raise your rates through the roof.

According to me,long term insurance is not at all good. As the saying goes, "Living poor dyeing rich"....simply put, whenever we get to pay the installment we will be in some sort of difficulty.so,till the insurance matured we have to pay the installment with difficulty.Then after the insurance matures,we will be quite old and the amount we get at that time maynot be cosidered big.....so it is better to not to go for long term insurance plans...instead, you can see to other short term investment plans which looks more sensible.
