You may think that all I do here is eat, and that is a pretty good idea! This is sticky rice with some raisins in it. It is steamed in bamboo leaves.

I like sticky rice and we call it "suman" but not the raisins.

that would be called suman here. i put butter/margarine and maple syrup/coconut jam on it.

I've had similar treats - but not sure what they were exactly beyond the rice and bamboo leaves (it may not have been Thai). Can you get those from street vendors there?

I have not seen them on a cart but one of the little shops I go to for sweets has them.

It is pretty nice but I sure had to wash my hands a lot! LOL stick rice is sticky for sure!

I really can't say anymore than it is steamed in banana leafs. I never tried making it myself.
