Is age just a number?

Recently I have gotten into a new relationship. I love this man. He is all that I could have ever wished for in a partner. He is patient, kind, smart and super loving. But one of the things my family has a problem with in our relationship is the age difference. I just turned 19 and he is 33 going on 34. Thoughts?

I prefer to date or marry a guy who is 10 years or more older than me..
Some people say age doesn't matter , and it is just a number..
