Do You Try To Post Discussions About Topics That Have Not Been Discussed Here Often?

Thousands of discussions on various topics have been posted here on mylot.,still many discussions are being posted everyday.
Daily we do come across topics which have already been discussed by many, but mostly presented in different ways depending on the individuals writing them.
We have the option to skip the discussions that do not interest us.
Many members here would like to read fresh discussions with substance.
These days I do not often read serious discussions about Politics,
religion etc.Not that I am not interested in what is happening around us.
But after a lifetime of reading and having discussions in my real life about those subjects,I am tired. Now I prefer to read and interact with lighter subjects online.
Tell me about the flowers and birds you come across in your garden or the people you meet when you travel...Tell me about your childhood.
Tell me where you went out to lunch/dinner.Let me know where you had your favorite ice cream.
Which cake are you going to bake/buy for a birthday.
I like to read discussions about cooking, grocery shopping, watching movies/TV,music and especially about reading books.
That is just me.
Do you try to find fresh topics every day?Or do you post about what interests you? Or do you ''describe what's on your mind''?.

I have seen some posts here that were questions I saw on Facebook. I don't think that is right. Writers on here should come up with their own original ideas. I post whatever interests me. I don't look to see if it was discussed before. If it was, I asked in a different way. Most of my posts are just whatever has been on my mind lately.

I am rarely on Facebook. So I would not know whether the questions I came across here are from Facebook. But while it is okay to write about subjects that interest us,that does not mean copying from somewhere else is okay. Coincidences happen. Two persons may ask the same question some times without being aware of any other person asking about it.

@silvermist I think they are aware. They probably copied and pasted the question right from Facebook. It is the kind of question that asks if you had $2,000,000,000, what would you do with it. Of course, it could be a coincidence. I guess it just annoys me.

Most of your discussions are on topics different from what others post.Unlike me or some others here, you are an experienced writer who write book/story/movie reviews on publications .

It's hard to find topics that have never been discussed before. I try to avoid those that were discussed too many times, like "do you prefer tea or coffee?" "what do you eat for breakfast?" "how do you like your pizza?"There are dozen posted every day.

True, but the responses may be different by different persons. To find new topics is definitely hard.If one travels a lot, have a garden or pets or works in interesting places,
he/she can come up with different posts.I for one like posting about each and every book I read. But most people wont be interested.Of course,we can write discussions not bothering about responses,I am seriously thinking about doing that in May.

I read the discussions of my friends and I do not mind if some repeat everyone has something different to say anyway. I post what I think others might find interesting at least I hope so.

It is always good to read or to come up with a new twist on an old theme. Some old bible verse comes to mind with the complaint that "There is nothing new under the sun."
Well, the internet is pretty new and Artificial Intelligence is certainly a new thing to ponder.

Many people post repeatedly about the weather, their meals, religion, and politics, and what I've already read on the news.. I prefer to avoid some of those. I usually write about me day. There is always something going on with that. LOL!

Chances are that whatever we post about it's already been posted about by someone else... When I want to post a discussion I don't care about whether someone's already posted something on the same topic or not. I just share what I want to share and hope that people will find something to say in the comments.

We can only do that.If we keep worrying about whether a particular topic has already been posted,we may end up not posting anything.

@lovebuglena Even if we do not get many responses,it will make us happy when we post about what we like.

@silvermist That is very true. Also, I post what I want to post, not what I think will get more interaction. But perhaps that is not always a good thing.

@silvermist yes. i recall suddenly on bubblews that there were specific tags to a specific post. but here though, i wish nobody will copy and paste discussions that can be spin-off from other discussions.

If you do not mind discussions about politics and religion leading to arguments, then you can.We all post topics similar to others often,as it is difficult always to come up with fresh ones.
