I am browsing one of the online job finder sites. Upon opening each tab, this caught my attention. At the qualifications list the employer is looking for someone who has no debt (2.4), not disable (this one is not funny 2.6) and not bankrupt (2.5). I found the qualifications a bit odd, donĀ“t you? {just to clarify I mean no offense to the advertiser}

Well, I agree with you on that. I wonder why they included that?

@Mavic123456 Money problems are why people look for jobs. Your personal life should not matter as long as you do the job, are there on time, and are respectful at work.

@akalinus this is exactly my point. This is also a red flag to the applicants. Maybe this employer is too nosy, and meddling with personal business.

It would be against the law here to not hire a handicapped person if they were qualified for the job. That's pure discrimination. Very odd, indeed!

if only I can report this to the job finder site I will. this is what the employer criteria, it is okay if the applicant is a pedophile as long as he/she has no money problem and no disease and not disable. thanks for replying

@DianneN no, i can't report it, it is a legitimate site and it a clean site and that's the desire of the employer, so I guess it is just a matter of sensitivity among the applicants and awareness.

@Mavic123456 Well, I for one, would never apply for a job with them! Not that I'm looking.

Well, maybe there they can post something like this, but around here in the US this would be considered discrimination so not allowed just in case someone might complain.

@Mavic123456 That is the problem. So many times it is hard to find someone to complain too as so many times anymore no one wants to listen. They only want what they want and nothing more

In this case where do you complain? This is real discrimination.

That is odd. Makes me double think about the legitimacy of the job.

@Mavic123456 if it is indeed legitimate, then good. Just makes one have second thoughts about the qualifications they posted.

This reminds me of writing bid sites. Like, I will pay you $5 for five articles of 1000 words each. That is a whole dollar for each article. You are so lucky I am generous. Right!

Wow. They wouldn't be able to do that here. Also, does that mean you have to show them your financial records to prove you have no debt? That's too invasive.

Exactly, I don't know how will they find out the financial status of the applicant. I don't know if I can report this to the site, but the site is run by Americans too

I feel like the it's none of the employers business what a person's finances are like...and excluding those with disabilities is not nice.
