In India most live with Parents and some do live alone as well and i am not saying that this bad or that was good, But i feel parents should be with us, so that we can help them and take proper care of them when they are old or require any help like they helped us when we were kids. But What i like to know is not related to that LOL. I just wanna know, Do You Live With Or Close To Your Parents? Please Share.

I do live about 30 mins away from my parents. Decided not to live together in view that it may bring conflict

I don't. Both of my parents are deceased. I'd likely be living next to my mom if she were still alive. My mom had her house right next to my grandmothers when both of them were alive. I do hope to sell my house one day, and buy a better property for multi-generational living when my kids are older and starting college/etc.

You have answered your won question , Indian love to stay with their parents...but if under duress they are staying away then they are definitely in touch with them and in need they become supporting pillars for them Thanks dear @thesupersingh!

Live about 20 minutes from my moms, she knows she has a standing invitation to move her whenever she wants. We talk on the phone at least once a day if not more, also go to visit often and do the hard stuff like her wood for her.

In Indian culture the responsibility of sons and daughters is to look after their parents in their old age. Because when we were young they nourished us and gave us education. Why should we not look after them in their old age
