How do you bold and italicize on mylot?

Sometimes, a post can be really long and wordy and there really is no way to insert images other than at the head of the text. At least so I can see. So, as an alternative, t would be nice to have the option to create little bold headings or pull out text. I have seen it here on mylot, but I haven't quite figured how to do it myself. Can anyone help? How do you create bold or italicized text on myLot? Thanks guys!
