I am beginning to run out discussion topics that have not been covered. So do you make more responding to other discussions or do you make more starting your own? Or maybe you make the same, does anyone know? Eventually all topics will be discussed then what do we do? Just keep our own discussions going? Or try to respond to everyone elses? Answers please!

I haven't started but one topic. I guess if the money is that important you could have a problem. Otherwise relax maybe you have a writers block. And need to wait for some more ideas. It might be better to get away from the computer until you have some ideas. Of course you should keep busy with other interests than I'm sure something will appear. Responding to other peoples topics also gives you points. How that translates to money I'm not sure.

well u make money any which ways u initiate anything on mylot..u earn by putting up pics, responding to discussions, starting discussions, rating discussions, making frineds, chatting and everything else that u see as an option ...well the quantum of money to be made depends on how long ur replies are and how often u respond

Now I have no basis for saying so, but someplace I got the idea that if I create a discussion and I have lot's of responses, that will be more profitable than if I only have one or two responses. If that is true, then discussions would potentially yield more profit because there are ordinarily far more responses to a discussion, than there are comments to your response.
Did that make sense? As I said, I really do not know.
Have a great day.

As you might suspect, no one really knows. One persons experience is different than another's. That is the intention of myLot.
I certainly wish they would define their protocol for pay.

I respond more than start, because it is difficult for me to discuss topics that have not been already taken.. I am trying to come up with some new ones... but I spend more time replying.. and I guess I am not choosing good ones lately, cause I am not earning well at all..

I think that both are equally perfect for different reasons. If you respond to a post, you're guaranteed a few cents, depending on length. If you write a discussion, you still get credit for participation, even if no one responds. But if someone responds, you have the potential to make a lot of pennies on the site. Participation counts.
