Windows

As I have a few days off and I am alone at home during the day, I had the opportunity to clean the windows. This is a household task that I don't like and I don't do it too often.
And I have some fear of heights, so it is a challenging activity for me.
Now the windows are clear and it is a really good feeling. However I am tired.
I should clean them at least twice a year. This is my new goal, I hope that I can reach it.

I do it once a year in the spring, which is definitely not enough. One floor per day sounds like a good strategy.

@anikoonline There are 15 windows in my house and 6 of them are double French doors windows. I cannot do everything in one day.

@LadyDuck I have double windows/door, too. 15 windows are a lot. I have only 4 windows and a door, but it takes time, too.

by fear of heights, would this mean your windows facing the tall towers?

@ridingbet Yes, I have agoraphobia. It is not too bad, but I feel dizzy because of the heights.

I meant that we live in the second floor and it is scary to stand on the windowsill and look down.

I have a window cleaner to do the outside of my house but I have to do the inside often because my granddaughter makes a mess with her sticky hands on the glass.

@anikoonline Yes and she is a particularly messy child but she won't be young forever so I guess I should enjoy the time before she grows up.

Having a child around means a lot more cleaning.

I was thinking that I could afford a pro that cleans the whole flat once or twice a year.

@marlina As I heard people can earn well if they offer cleaning service and they have some regular customer. Someone even told me that window cleaning is a speciality here and not every cleaning service provides this.

It is true. It was my exercise for Thursday and I was tired at the end of cleaning.

@Jeffopez I'm sure that I won't clean the windows weekly, but I do clean the flat weekly (hoover, clean the bathroom, etc.).

I was thinking of this. But I am happy cause I could do it on my own.

I wish you lived closer to me and I would hire you to do mine. We hire someone to do the outside but we need to do the inside....

It would be really hard to clean anything with dust allergy. Do you take medicines for your allergy?
