The day that didn't make sense

A figure from what looked to be like a man stepping out of the seeping darkness walked towards the women in a slow grace. He picked her up and carried her like a bride on her wedding day back into the darkness. The man didn't look like any man we have ever seen around town, he had long auburn hair that easily touched the middle of his shoulder, he was wearing what looked like to be a war uniform from the viking era and had a strong body build but a stone cold expression on his face like there was nothing left inside of him as he walked through the back hole Lizzy said she could of sworn she saw a tear running down his cheek and then vanished without a trace of evidence left behind. The pitch black rocks were no longer their and the light was dimmed down and it looked to be almost dusk. Lizzy and I were shocked it had only been mid-afternoon when we were playing but now it was almost night, this scared us so we ran back home trying to make sense of what had happened. As we arrived home Jack our neighbors son was running to us crying. Lizzy and I yelled what was wrong and he said they have been looking everywhere for us, Lizzy and I looked back at each other in confusion and laughed a little we yelled back ; what do you mean they have been looking everywhere for us? Jack looked at us with complete relief as our mothers and fathers ran to us, still not knowing what happened our parents yelled ; finally your home!. Now Lizzy and I were terrified and thought they were playing a joke on us so as we got closer we said; what do you mean finally were home. Our parents looked at us in confusion and surprised expressions, you two have been missing for seven days. We looked at each other again and said; what do you mean we have been gone for almost half a day playing by the river. My mom looked at me terrified and said; hunny we have looked everywhere through town including the river we could find you anywhere, where by the river? Lizzy spoke up and said; by the bridge near the old police department. Everyone looked at us with scared expressions on their faces and said almost in sync we looked in that place several times and you were no where to be found. Lizzy and I we flabbergasted and started to cry for no reason we couldn't make sense of any of this, we started walking to the house and we both collapsed.
