I completely endorse the views of ksridevi.
It is one of the best movies i had ever seen. Not that i watch a lot of movies. Definitely the best of all times.
Kamal hassan was superb! Whats more amazing was the way the story (or the plot) was narrated! without words.... spectacular!!!
The scene where the hero meets the beggar with his one rupee coin....... that was wonderful!!!
While the movie was very realistic ( yet unreal!) some elements in the movie made it unappealing for many. People who are used to typical masala movies will have hard time watching this movie!!!!!

Well, I saw five or six times. And again whenever I am getting a chance to view that cinema in TV I am willing to see also. That is the best mookie movie which I saw with only background music and face expressions. Really all credit goes to Kamal Hasan and Amala. In the same way picturization is superb. Ear rings, Ice knifes and "gift boxes" are some of main attractions of the cinema.
