I've played a few rounds of golf in my life and seen plenty of squirrels, deer, and geese on the course. But I have never seen a person attacked by a goose before until I saw this article online.
A high-school golfer from Michigan was competing at Highland Meadows Golf Course in Sylvania, Ohio, just over the Michigan-Ohio border, when he learned just how mean geese can be.
Seems this unlucky player got a bit to close to the goose's nest while walking along the golf course. Here is a photo of this poor guy. It looks pretty bad but fortunately he was unhurt from the attack.
Usually birdies are a good thing when competing at golf, but in this case not so much!

Birdies on the golf course are usually a good thing - just not when that bird happens to be a very angry goose.

Yes, no one likes their territory to be invaded. I am seeing an angry goose for the first time

The golfer learned a valuable lesson there. Keep your distance!

No one likes or feels safe when their privacy is invaded. That is true with birds and animals. Poor golfer!! Thankfully he is not injured

A first for me too. Usually they just move along when you get near. I guess the goose was protective of its nesting area.

@dgobucks226 Most golfers know now to wait till they get out of the way or to hit around them.

Kangaroos, now that would be pretty shocking to see! I did not realize the wing was so strong.

@JudyEv I guess the golfers just have to share. The animals no nothing about golf. They just probably thought it was a nice area to hang out, lol.

I have geese hiss at me a couple times but that attack was something. I bet that golfer stays far away from geese playing golf in the future.
