Have you heard that term? It means you're talkative, which I am. There was a time when I was more talkative than I am now. On most days I go to the pool, I will make some comments, usually about the weather as seen on the TV before I left, or light conversation, but not much talking.
However, this morning, I was Chatty Cathy. I just couldn't stop talking, about whatever was being talked about. I think I talked more than swam this morning, which is very unusual.
Even when I went into the hot tub, where I do more listening than talking to the other people in there, I was doing the lion's share of the conversation. It was vastly different from the norm for me these days. The only thing I can contribute it all to is that the book I was working on is out of my hands and I'm between book projects, and my brain needs to keep up some kind of conversation. For whatever reason, this morning, I was Chatty Cathy.
Do you like to talk a lot. Do you carry the conversation? Do you start the conversation? Or do you just listen and let everyone else do the talking?
This is a can holder I got for my birthday several years ago when I worked in the bakery department of a grocery store. I have another similar to it. I did a lot of talking back then, pretty much non-stop. Hence the birthday present.
Now, I usually just let my characters do the talking. Being between books does make a difference in the conversation.
Thanks for reading.

I think I am in the middle. I do talk but I listen too.

@DianneN I'm glad he talks back. I used to do that with my dogs, only one responded - Rascal. Pip never really talked to me, though I tried. She did smile though, and it always seemed to be in one of her taunting playful moods. She would growl at someone, and when I reprimanded her, she would hang her head and smile, in an I gotcha moment. She wouldn't hurt anyone, ever. I really miss her.

I have always been a Chatty Cathy. These days, I've noticed that because I'm alone so much, when I finally do get to be with another human being, I can't shut up! But I keep mentally reminding myself that other people need to talk, too. I don't want to scare everyone away, you know? lol

Lol! That's a funny term -- I hadn't heard it for awhile. Usually I'm quite, unless properly motivated or among the right people, then I'm talkative.
Talkative people are easy to talk to :-)

It depends to be honest,on circumstances, whether I am feeling lonely or not..and who is around to talk to. I was chattier in the past than I am now.

That's a good thing. Then when you do have something to say, people will listen.

True. If you don't know the subject you wouldn't have much to say if anything.
