Have you Ever tried Any Blind dating ?

I am sure there will be many that have tried dating and some must have tried the Blind dating as well. I have seen some things which felt me thinking like that it's getting popular in India as well as most countries like to adopt different things from other countries just to try and have fun from that.
I am not a fan of Blind dating but would like to know your opinion on that.

Kind of when I first moved to San Francisco many moons ago. I now live in Texas by the way. I had walked into a frame shop and struck up a conversation with the owner who decided that I would be just perfect for his son who is a Financial Consultant. And he had him call me and we actually dated for some years. My roommate at the time wantedme to go to speed dating with her. I had to decline.
And when I was weight loss consultant my clients always wanted to set me up with their sons or grandsons.
Sometimes I think all dating is blind dating because you're going in blind unless you been friends for years and you might have mutual friends but you only have their perspective of the person you're still finding out about them. Looking into who they are and into their soul I'm deciding whether they or someone you want in your life and whatever capacity- friendship or loveship.
I know you said you weren't a fan of it but do you think sometime in the future if it was someone who is may be a really good friend one of your really good friends, someobe maybe you had seen and maybe had a lot in common with what you consider it?

@thesupersingh a blind date is usually defined here as when you are set up with someone that you don't really know. You might see their picture your friend could show you their Facebook page but you've never met them.
