My Most Useless Purchase

My Robot Mower - Personal Photo

Two years ago, attracted by several ads, I bought a "Lawn Mower Robot". Our lawn is not vast, but I wanted a good robot I could trust. The vendor convinced me to buy the robot you can see in my photo. In two years I have never been able to use it. If the grass is wet, it stops. If the grass is too tall it refuses to cut, if there is a bump in the ground it stops. I spend more time moving it around, than the time needed to mow the whole lawn using my push mower. May be I was unlucky, but I paid a lot of money for a completely useless tool. Do you have a lawn mower robot, that does a good job?

I procrastinated, I thought I was doing something wrong and checking the different settings I would have been able to make it work. When I finally realized that it's not good for our garden it was too late to bring it back. I will sell it.

@Morleyhunt Exactly! We spend more time taking care of things that should help us saving time than doing everything manually by ourselves.

It's a stubborn robot, I push it and it does not move of an inch. It's not so light at it seems.

I did, I think that those robots are only good to keep very short the lawn. If you mow the lawn first and then you run the robot every day, it maintains the lawn short. I am going to sell it.

@Marilynda1225 I've seen them go around furniture before, there they seem to work. Although I cleaned the house for a while that had one. I used a normal vacuum, but saw that one working once. That person's kids were gone and they kept their house pretty clean. It there's a lot of traffic or the floors getting dirty a lot possibly they wouldn't work as well either. Maybe people have YouTube videos of the week working well and not so well to see it both ways. Maybe there are videos of the lawn mower to

I never heard of these robots. It would be good if a person has a small, flat area. I always had an acre of land so that wouldn't work for me. Now in a senior village, we have a service that does it. It is nice looking though. Maybe you can sell it on ebay or something like that.

Thankfully I have a low maintenance garden so don't need a mower. I would be pretty mad if I had paid a lot of money for something and it didn't do the job properly. Was there no chance of a refund?
