Bad Night

It isn't often I have a bad night's sleep, but last night I did. I went to bed early, before I had the notifications finished so I would be able to be up early enough to get to the pool this morning. That did not happen, because I had a restless painful night.
My left knee was bothering me all night, and when I got up I thought it would buckle on me, and grateful it didn't. I also had sciatica in both butt cheeks, painful. Then my right arm kept going numb. That's not unusual as both my arms go numb if I bend them for any length of time. What was unusual was that it went numb when it wasn't bent. So, it wasn't a good night. I figure I overdid it at the fitness center yesterday, so I'm resting up today and tomorrow, and will be back at the Y on Monday. The most I'm going to do in the way of exercise is stairs when I do laundry on Saturday. We'll see how that goes.
So, for now, I'm heading back to bed, since I've been up since 2 AM and let my friend at the pool know I wouldn't be there until Monday, and decided to work the notifications before I headed back for more sleep.
Supposed to be a cool day today, though I haven't seen the weather yet, but looking outside, now that it's daylight, the clouds are thick and looks like rain. My plans today are to work on Guns of War and hopefully add to it since I have less than a hundred pages to read and edit before I get to my last ending point. I may end up doing whatever kind of research I can for this in order to get the problem solved. So, I'll be heading to science sites for answers. I hope I find the answers so I can solve the problem and bring the book to a good ending soon.
Those are my plans for today. I hope you have a good day, or are having a good day. What plans do you have for today or the weekend? Thanks for reading.

@DaddtEvil I've been thinking about you and was going to send you a message you were badly missed here. I hope everything is okay in your corner of the world. Good to see you back. Surprisingly for as early as I got up yesterday, I didn't get a nap and went to bed around 9 last night and had a good night's sleep. Thank you.

I can sympathize with having a bad night. I have those all too frequently. Have a productive day on your book.

Thank you. They do have a way of keeping me from decent sleep. I didn't get the nap I expected, and wasn't even tired through the day. Must be in writing mode. I never get much sleep in writing mode. Though I did get a decent night last night.

Thank you. Welcome to myLot. I usually go to bed early. I take Vitamin D daily, but I'm off all dairy with the current diet I'm on. My night last night was much better.

Hope your day is productive with your book. Just sitting here relaxing and posting some, etc before my husband gets home from work, and then will go and do some Uber eats again

Oh, those restless, troublesome nights; what a drag. There's nothing in the world like a good nights sleep but then again, there's nothing like a bad night.
My restless nights are usually one of two things: general anxiety or the fact that I just can't shut off the brain.
I hope that you got a handle on the situation. Usually if you know the cause of the problem, it will help you to get it under control. In your case I think you did, so that is good.
It also sounds like you got a good game plan on the rest of your day. Kudos.

@betlynfrnds As a writer, shutting off the brain when I go to bed is sometimes very hard to do. Anxiety isn't a problem, I'm retired and have nothing to be anxious about.
I did have a wonderful day yesterday, and got a lot of work done on the current novel I'm working on. So, that was a good thing. I'll be working on it again today. It was a good day, and I got a decent night's sleep last night.

@arunima25 Napping is always a plus. I'm glad you can bury your anxiety before you go to bed.

Well I just bury my anxiety before hitting my bed. Blessed with a sound sleep, I can't compromise on my eye shut. Some days some physical discomfort and sickness interfere and then I compensate for my sleep by napping in afternoon

You are welcome..sorry you had a bad night. This weekend I am going to see family so I have been working online to make a few extra bucks to take with me, that and doing laundry, but I didn't do any packing. I figure I will have plenty of time for that tomorrow as I am not leaving until Sat. AM.

I hate to hear you are having so many problems with sciatica. I understand it can be very painful. I hope that by Monday you will be back in the swing of things. Rest over the weekend and heal a bit.

@just4him I am glad to hear this. I know how those back, hips and knee problems can be on a person. I am sure the pool will be refreshing after these few days away. Enjoy!

@Shellyann36 It definitely was. I didn't overdo it in the fitness center, only maxing at 8 minutes on the elliptical, but the pool was awesome.

Sorry to know that you didn't sleep well last night. I suggest you not sit too long during the day. It's not good for health. Take care, dear friends.
