Does the News-Media tell us 'Why We Should Care about Their Trump-Gossip'?

I 'subscribe' to a few news-channels' online-video feeds, and so every day-or-so I get an email with a dozen-or-so news-stories from each of them. But I look at some of the titles of the stories & think "... None of My Business!"
I mean, why should I care that one-or-another government-worker makes bad decisions that don't affect me at all? The only reason I can think of (not even mentioning 'why the FAKE news-media is gossiping'---because advertisers pay them to attract big audiences, and nothing attracts larger audiences than ... Demolition Derbies?)
... is 'that the government-people control the taxes we pay---money we hope they put into "improving life for all our fellow citizens," but the scandals prove that they have no control.'
But why does the media feel we need to focus on this loss? It's good to know of it, yes; but only after we strengthen 'the foundation we build upon' (the main reason American public-school students started every day reciting The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the USA ... at least 'back in my day').
Often, news-media channels will start each broadcast with 'their motto' (the one that comes to mind is "Local! Late-Breaking!" the site https://brandongaille.com/list-55-catchy-newspaper-slogans-and-great-taglines/ lists some other ones), but then they dive right into 'Tonight! People say The President was a stinky boy!' or some-such.
That's not 'firm building on a firm foundation'! that's 'sand-castles in a windy swamp of quicksand!'

Problem is it does they just do it sneakily and yes one is worse than another. Republicans don't tax until they do and straight rob more than even the hated left wing lunatics. Democrats tax everything, but at least throw a crumb. When was the last time a Republican congress person did anything in a gesture of being an American citizen. Oh that's right, never

No, that's not right. They do 'things in a gesture of being an American citizen' ALL THE TIME. But that doesn't "get butts in the seats of the arena."

@mythociate That we agree about because we a greedy people. Maybe that's the problem. Like I say, hate trump because he is greedy and will rob the poor in a blink of an eye, but we know that. Its the 40 percent I can't see. Like trick or treating and that dumb kid comes bag snatching. I slapped him up side the head but candy was lost.

@crossbones27 This is why I 'Love the sinner, Hate the sin.' Because Trump is not 'doomed to sin unceasingly,' except you keep encouraging him to keep on sinning.
How? the same way Satan is encouraged to keep on punishing sinners ... their loudness feeds his hunger; if we don't let him know we suffer, he tires of punishing & moves on to more-vocal victims.
