The ease of summer

I've been thinking about writing this post for awhile now, and seeing as we are just starting to come into spring-like weather in MN I think it's the perfect time. What is your favorite season? Mine is spring. It used to be summer, but in spring everything is fresh and new. We move from the MN winter with it's snow and frigid cold temperatures, into spring where one doesn't need to take 5 minutes preparing to go outside. The snow melts revealing the greening grass and the trees start to bud and birds sing. Also the weather is such that one can open the windows and let the fresh air in. Also, in spring, we have all of spring and all of summer and all of fall, to look forward to before the coming of winter again. Summer. or at least everything that is not winter - is just easier. As I mentioned earlier there is no bundling up and unbundling process to step foot outside. You can just shove your feet in some shoes and go. And you can walk carefree outside, without worrying about falling on the ice. You don't need to sweep off your car to go anywhere and furthermore you don't need to worry about the roads when you're on your way. Town events happen and there is all sort of fun to be had at car shows, street fairs and cookouts. Ah summer is so easy. Photo: Pixabay

Hi Faye. Well, I wish we have four seasons here too. So I stick with summer here but it is too hot. If I were there, I would choose Spring too.

It's hard to pinpoint exactly what season is my favorite, because it's always the same season all year long here in Florida! haha I prefer winter, because it is the only time of the year that it is not hot and muggy here. Our winters would be considered more like your spring, where it gets nice enough to open the windows and enjoy cool breezes. Thankfully, we don't have to deal with snow, and our grass is green all year long!

I love spring the most. It's a rebirth of everything and not too hot, nor too cold. I've been in flips almost every day since returning from Florida.

Yes, summer is easy. It's also hot and humid and full of all kinds of pesky insects. Okay, no surprise here, I don't like summer, even if you only need to shove your feet in shoes, and don't need to sweep the snow off your car before you go anywhere. Spring is the best season because it doesn't have the heat and humidity of summer, and the pesky insects aren't out yet. It is beautiful. It's just unfortunate summer follows spring.

@FayeHazel Faye, I used to feel when I was growing up in Minneapolis that winter would never end and spring would not come. I am glad to see that spring is there now. I love spring and summer.

In 2011 I did something special. In every pleasant weather month we would do a day trip to somewhere new for us. I won't ever forget that lovely experience. It was from spring to early autumn. I am keen on spring due to the new growth of plants and the baby animals. I love the warmer temperatures and the possibility of days out in pleasant weather. I love summer even more due to warm to hot weather. I agree that town events can be very enjoyable in summer.

Spending more time outdoors is the reason I love spring and summer and also I'm glad we don't need to wear so many layers

I am still a spring guy. I just like that it is warm, but cooler. In the summer it gets into the high 90s and sometimes into the 100s, and at least during the spring I can keep the windows open and avoid having the air on.

Right now I am really one messed up person. My favorite was always summer. Then last August my husband passed away and his last birthday was in July now I find summer too painful in every way. However this summer I will have a chance to return to the US my homeland and to Florida, so it will be completely different and I might just survive it all.

Oh so sorry. That is difficult when difficult dates come up. I have a few difficult dates in my history - but I have found planning something I enjoy for the day helps me deal with it. I'm happy you will return home and I hope that helps you in your life. If you need to talk, feel welcome to message me

I live in Alabama, I reckon what you call the temps of spring is my winter temps. My coat is nothing more than a hoodie. Snow? Maybe once every few years. We usually have a couple weeks of cold for a normal winter. I would die if I lived in the cold.
