What is your job schedule?

Hello friends. My current job schedule is 08:00-17:00 a total of 9 hours. But thing is that besides these hours spent at the working point there is also an extra two hours that I spend on the distance from home to the working place and back every working day. So, in total, the job that I have is filling more than 11 hours out of 24 for me. What do you think of this? What is your job schedule and how many hours does it fill out of 24?

My job schedule used to be 8-4:30 but I lost my job, so now I am at home with my little two year old and loving it!! I really miss the money, as I was making 16.50/hour but I wouldn't trade that for the time I get to spend with the little love of my life... my son is so awesome, you couldn't pay me enough to be away from him for even a few minutes!

Oh nice. So, how do you get a living now without a job paying you money? Is it just from the husband’s salary?

@Cristi_Ichim Yes, but also, I am fortunate enough to have a 20 year old son that lives in our attic and pays rent plus internet and partial utilities. So... yeah, I'm pretty lucky... still miss having my own income, but having time with my toddler trumps that for me.

I don't have any schedule as I am a resident stud vet. I need to attend my horses at anytime as per the demand. Thus you can say my schedule is round the clock! Thanks!

I'm lucky in that I have fairly flexible working hours. As long as I work 37.5 hours per week I can pretty much come and go as I please. I tend to start work at 7:30am and leave at 4.00pm which means my journey time is only about 30 minutes each way. Travelling any later than this can increase my journey time to well over an hour each way.
