Global Warming

What are your thoughts on global warming? Do you think it's just part of the natural cycle or the earth warming or cooling, or do you believe this is something man has caused by his own recklessness? I believe man has accelerated the process of the cycle. I know there were dinosaurs and they became extinct, because the atmosphere became cooler, but there are even different theories on that topic.

I am not a scientist to comment on this topic...but then since the time of dinosaurs to the current time...except for the natures flora and fauna what you find the things remained unchanged? Today not only the human being got evolved but he evolved to the extent that he is challenging the nature by his misdeeds...which may look comfortable or luxury for him for the time being , but he is creating disaster! I fully agree that neither energy nor mass can be created on this earth nor destroyed , it is always conserved! May be global warming is an essential part to obey this law to compensate the misdeeds he has been doing since a long time! Thanks!

@ThinkGratitude , In that process you are forgetting the energy they are producing in the process of putrefaction with the help of the bacteria which is added to the nature! Thus this gives birth to another postulate that 'Nothing is being wasted in this World!'

It is devastating to think that global warming is getting worst everyday.

@ThinkGratitude I am wishing there is already a solution but you know politics whatever, the more we are on the verge of distraction.

The glaciers seem to be melting at an incredible speed. Winter snow is heavier and slushy. I hope we can find ways to reverse this damage. Maybe a little positive energy thinking will help?

@mlgen1037 I agree, politics can be a huge distraction, especially when we are trying to get bills passed to protect our environment. I think that's when we have to come together and brainstorm ways to outsmart the people passing up on our legislative ideas.

Humans have definitely accelerated things greatly, as you can see if you look at the rate of recent warming vs. periods of natural warming (or the rate of warming before industrialization vs after). The dinosaur extinction is not the only mass extinction event--there have been several in the geological history of the Earth. I hope humans aren't bringing on the next one...

I believe it is because of the recklessness of the scientists/meteorologists
