Now that you mention it, I used to have a favorite short paring knife . . . but one day the handle got messed up - and I haven't gotten a replacement for that particular size yet. But hmmmmm . . . I guess my favorite now would be my big glass Pyrex mixing bowls!

Our kitchen also has a variety of knives. Because we need different knives in cooking.

I am not comfortable with any knife other than my set. So they definitely are precious sharp ones. My mixer and grinder is a must for my kitchen as my cooking involves a lot of it's uses for grinding spices, chutneys and batters for dosa and idli. Not to forget the yummy milkshakes.

@amadeo It is a must in my house everyday for my daughters. They love milk fruit shake. It's season of mangoes, so we are relishing yummy mango shake every day.

Like you, a good set of knives is essential for us. What kind of cutting board do you like best?

@amadeo we use regular butter and sharp knives not any big knives. No need to here.
