sometimes autism is talent,in some ways, they're truly genius. But in fact, they're not smart and fast in many ways.Especially in the social and communicative part.
i was an autism, even now,i am afraid to see anyone.the people talk with me or stare at me,it makes me nervous and angry.so i keep me into the bedroom,i eat the meal upstairs,i never speak to anyone in fact.Because i'm very shy.
In fact,i also have a serious insomnia,it's torturing my mind.but no one believe i'm autism, they just think i'm weird and insane.it's hard to know the symptons of autism.unless you meet them, you can know the truth from their eyes.the true autism is very unstable, frightened and anxious, they have no courage to gaze at people.surely, they also hate people compel them or stare at them,it will make them angry and go crazy.
if you're the person like this, you must be autism,if you meet the person like this autism, you need to be cautious.because autism is very sensitive and very easy to be hurt.

Cheer up, @eagletrek2. People will never understand because they have never been there in your position. I have friends who have autism, even ADHD, but they are the most amazing people. If I am there with you, you would have a friend in me.

Seems to me that these aren't good friends. Disagreeing with you, maybe, but why would they argue with a neurologist who is trained in these matters?
My youngest son has autism and I have had a few people tell me that he can't have autism because, for example, he has always spoken well and he has no problem giving eye contact.
Many people simply do not understand how autism works and that it can be very different from one person to the next. If your friends are true friends then they will be willing to learn and understand (at least try to). A really good friend might even offer to help you overcome some problems or help you find something you CAN do well.
