Does Oprah give her "favorite things" to REAL people?

Do you ever notice how Oprah's Favorite Things are just too good to be true? They always cost well over the average young persons weekly salary.
Have you ever noticed that the people on the show never look like you or me? They are never people that live check to check, or people who have to wait until income tax time to buy these type things that she is just GIVING AWAY. They always seem to be some rich housewife or someone who doesn't have a job and can spend a regular person's work day sitting through a taping of Oprah.
I wish Oprah would have me on the show and give away a twin size bed so my 8yr old can stop sleeping on a futon. Or give away dining room table, or some interview clothes to a working mom of 3 or more kids. How about some school clothes for those 4 or 5 kids that that mother has. Or pay a light bill or something useful with all those millions that she loves to give away.
I respect Oprah, I do. She has come a very long way and is a very successful woman. I just have my personal opinion about how she chooses to use some of her "tax write-offs".

I would really like to see Oprah do more worthwhile things with her money. I mean yeah, sure it would be cool to get a $250 purse, but why do that when you could spend that money on someone who actually needs it and something that they actually need? I think Oprah's too caught up in being rich and has lost touch with her roots. It's sad.
