What Book(s) Are You Currently Reading?

I am always looking for new reading material, though I never seem to catch up with the list of books I have yet to read. I am currently in the middle of reading 'Red Seas Under Red Skies' which is the 2nd book in a series written by Scott Lynch (Mylot doesn't approve of the series name it seems) and just finished re-reading the 3rd book in the Harry Potter series which I tend to turn to when I am feeling sick. I actually have not finished that series beyond getting halfway through book 4. After that, I plan to start reading 'The Name of the Wind' by Patrick Rothfuss which someone recommended to me a couple years ago. So I am curious, what are you reading? And what books are currently on your reading list? Has anyone recommended anything that sounded interesting to you?

@JohnRoberts I believe I have heard the author's name before, but I am not familiar with any of her books. Was it a good one?

When I was younger I joined a book club and read a lot of books. Then I enjoyed the Reader's Digest version unless it was a book that really got my interest. Besides the Bible, I think my favorite book of all time would have to be Space. It really sucked me right in from the very beginning as I could really identify with the main character.

@things4gotten Yes, it was written by James A. Michener and it was a huge book. We went camping with a group of friends and one of them brought the book for me to read as they thought I might like it. And they were right. I finished reading it before the vacation ended.

@1hopefulman I think I have encountered some of his books before but never picked any of them up myself to read. The name is definitely familiar.

@things4gotten I have a little clip-on LED booklight so in this situation I can read without disturbing others, it seems to work!

The idea behind it certainly sounds interesting. I will probably add that one to my list to look into. I had to re-read the Harry Potter books. As I mentioned I turn to them when I am sick. But this is the first time I have been sick in years so I had forgotten most of what I read. Reading them on my phone was also a bit different. Would have preferred reading the physical books but most of my reading time was the middle of the night when my husband was trying to sleep.

@things4gotten yes, I do read both of these authors frequently. John Sandford writes about serial killers and Lucas Davenport is his detective in all his books (Davenport always gets his man!) As for Grisham his books seem to be more around the legal side of the story.

Do you read either of those author's books regularly? I am not as familiar with John Sandford's but I know John Grisham has written a lot. Haven't gotten around to reading any of his books though. Think I might actually have a few somewhere...

@things4gotten I can relate with the characters and incidents as I have seen them at close quarters. Though the author lives in England, the book tells the stories of India.

@things4gotten It is quite interesting. Two stories going on parallel and in different eras. Beautifully they have been narrated and similarities have been drawn
