Love is blind is a popular saying. When we are in a loving relationship we fail to see our partners flaws. We see everything through the eyes of love as such they are "perfect". No human is an angel, we all have our strength and weaknesses. Therefore, it won't be wise if we fail to tell our partners their weaknesses so that we can work on them together. Rather than closing our eyes to them.
It is true that people can pretend in relationships but never in marriage. Marriage is reality. As such, we shouldn't blind our eyes to flaws we see in relationships.

True love is not blind ...it sees things in the light of reality and is based on trust, respect and acceptance. Marriage is a strong bond of love. It is the fantasy of love that is blind
